This is one of my largest layered/manipulated images.
I am posting the actual finished photo, then all of the photos I used to created it.
It took me about 15 minutes to shoot all of the frames, then about 45 minutes of editing.
Thanks to my mother for placing the cats on the chairs again and again and again.

maureen's departure.

Borrowed my great aunt Marueen's old home that she moved out of due to her being incapable of living on her own any longer. This house has held many things for me over the years. The only memories I have of my grandfather are here, him sitting in the chair on the far wall of the kitchen...unable to speak full sentences... barely able to piece together words, after having several strokes. But there was love in his eyes. There was always love in those eyes in that old moss covered house.

also I remember . the firemen coming . egg hunts . elephant statues. cats . my furby sitting on the bathroom toilet . the smell of old wood floors .
